We use different things to identify which gas of liquid was produced during an experiment. Below are the following things we use.
Splint test: In this test, if oxygen gas is present then the glowing splint will relight.
Pop-test: In this test, if hydrogen gas is present, then fire splint will burn with a squeaky pop.
Limewater test: If limewater turns cloudy then carbon dioxide is present.
Water test: For this we use Cobalt-Chloride paper to test for water. This paper is pink. If during a test this paper were to turn blue, then it can be said that water is present.
