Movement within a country
External migration:
Movement between countries
Rural to urban:
Movement from countryside eg farms to towns and cities
Seasonal migration:
Temporary movement for seasonal work or leisure
Commuting:
Regular movement for work
Immigration:
Migration into a country
Emigration:
Migration out of a country
Refugee:
Person who has fled from danger in their home country and who has been accepted into a new country
Asylum seeker:
Person who has fled from danger in their home country but HAS NOT YET been accepted into a new country.
